Andrew S. Dimmock Attorney

Andrew Dimmock has practiced law in the State of Washington since 1987. For the last twenty years he has worked exclusively in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation.

Regarding personal injury law, Andrew began as an attorney for car insurance companies. He started as a staff attorney for Allstate and then created the in-house legal department for Progressive for the State of Washington. Andrew now devotes his practice to injured people. His background of working on the insurance side is a tremendous asset in understanding how insurance companies operate and value claims.

Regarding workers’ compensation claims with Washington’s Department of Labor and Industries, Andrew has represented over a thousand different injured workers. He and his team at Dimmock Law Group aggressively pursue all the benefits owed their injured worker clients. Andrew has successfully handled numerous appeals to the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals and Superior Court resulting in many reversals of orders of the Department of Labor and Industries.

Andrew obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont (1983). He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Washington Law School (1987). Andrew lives in Edmonds, Washington, where he is always happily married to Dina Dimmock and usually the proud father of three children (Samuel, Thomas, and Olivia). On any given day, rain or shine, Andrew would rather be golfing. The more he plays, the worse he gets, but the happier he is.

Sylvia Russell Lead Paralegal

Sylvia Russell is the lead paralegal of our L&I division.  She has lived in the Everett area for 25 years.  After training and working as a dental assistant, Sylvia entered the legal field in 1999 and quickly progressed through the ranks to her current position of workers’ compensation paralegal.  For the last 20 years Sylvia has focused her attention on injured workers and their claims with the Department of Labor & Industries.  She has represented thousands of workers for traumatic injuries and occupational diseases.  As a busy paralegal in the Everett area, of course, Sylvia has handled many claims involving Boeing employees.  Claims with “self-insured employers” like Boeing present special challenges.  Sylvia has successfully handled many such claims which often feature years of time loss compensation, complicated medical conditions, vocational issues, and ultimately large settlements or injury pensions.

Anyone who talks to Sylvia will immediately discover that she is considerate and compassionate and eager to help.  But don’t be deceived.  Behind that kind demeanor is a fierce advocate who will fight to the end for her clients.

When Sylvia is not at Dimmock Law Group battling for her clients she is at home battling blackberries and weeds in her yard and gardens.  You may also see her around the local music scene supporting her husband who is a drummer in a local band.

Rebecca Nebel Paralegal

Rebecca Nebel leads our personal injury practice group.  She has been with Dimmock Law Group for 12 years.  Prior to joining our firm Rebecca worked as a preschool teacher at Bright Horizons and then in real estate for Flat List RE.

Rebecca started as a receptionist.  She took a special interest in our personal injury cases.  Rebecca has climbed through the ranks to the point that she now directs the staff of our personal injury division.  She handles every part of an injury claim from collecting medical records all the way through trial.  On a daily basis Rebecca battles with car insurance companies and health insurers so that our clients can just focus on their treatment and getting better.  She has become a very valuable member or our team.

In her spare time Rebecca enjoys baking, reading, and traveling with her husband and son all while overseeing her “farm” in the Snohomish area.
